Fresh Sewing Day

Fresh Sewing Day
Welcome to Fresh Sewing Day hosted by Lily's Quilts - a day to look back at what you've accomplished in the last month, as well as consider the project you most enjoyed.

I was somewhat surprised when I 'collected' all the bee and charity blocks I made in November!
1. 4x5 bee, Q4-Beehive 1, 2. Japanese x and + block, 3. Modified Bento Box, 4. 4x5 bee, Q4-Beehive 1, 5. 4x5 bee, Q4-Beehive 1, 6. Mod Mosaic Block, 7. Modified Bento Box, 8. 4x5 bee, Q4-Beehive 1, 9. 4x5 bee, Q4-Beehive 1, 10. "Missing Your Kiss"

There were also four completed projects. The full-size Swoon, of course, felt like a real accomplishment, and I really like it. But due to its size, quilting it was pretty challenging, and not always enjoyable. (I did really enjoy quilting my Swoon neck-and-neck with Heather of Crafting...  We completed our quilts the same weekend - look at her beauty here!)

So I think what really gave me the most pleasure was the Scrappy Super Swoon, just because it was different, and I love how the finished quilting looks. Mini 'X' was also a joy to make, and I was pretty proud, I guess, to figure out the pattern by myself, try some free-motion quilting, and come up with a tutorial to share. {here}
1. Completed Swoon Quilt!, 2. Ruby X quilt, 3. Scrappy Super Swoon, 4. Completed Snow-Kissed Star quilt

So that's my month in a nutshell - lots of Swoon/stars, and plenty of 'x's. And a ton of fun.

Linking up with Fresh Sewing Day and Minutes for Me.

  3. Way to go isn't it just the best to see all of your completed work together? Just wondering how you manipulated your swoon pattern to change its size?
