100th Post

I have every intention of making a complete Swoon quilt one of these days. I may wait for Ruby; I don't know. But I've been anxious to try out the block, and decided to make a mini one-block quilt.
It was really fun to make, and is an extra-big 24" block! I decided it would be a great "thank you" in celebration of my 100th post today! Please comment for a chance to win Mini Swoon, as well as a couple of fat quarters I've chosen for you. Many of my followers I have barely gotten acquainted with. I'd love it, if on this special day {to me}, you would tell a little about yourself . . . what you love about quilting, where you find inspiration, your current favorite fabric or designer. You know - something like that. Meanwhile, thank you for being here, and for your encouragement - it adds joy to my days!

I'll randomly choose a winner on Thursday. Meanwhile, linking up with {Sew} Modern Monday. . .

My favorite thing about quilting is how people (and cats!) curl up beneath quilts made by people they love. I might not have a favorite designer, but I do kind of have a favorite quilter...

Wow, I have been totally enchanted with the Swoon block and have almost ordered the pattern 10 times. I would so love to win your beautiful quilt. I enjoy following your blog and your visits to mine.
I love pretty much everything about quilting, the planning, the process, the shopping, the taking the quilt out of the dryer after it is done for the first time. I am still trying everything, modern, traditional, traditional with modern twists, large and small and now tiny blocks, and I still love it all. It is a journey and I am having fun.

I am a great starter of quilts, not so great of a finisher. I find it hard to practice project monogamy and usual have several on the go. Needing a quick quilt fix I made my first string quilt in my current favorite color combination of black, white and lime green. Think I will actually finish this project today, only half the binding left to do! I better put my blinkers on though, don't want to get sidetracked!

I love that when I'm quilting my mind is totally focused on the project. Cares and worries slip away and I have fun with beautiful fabric! It's always so exciting and satisfying when something works out just right.

Currently Joel Dewberry seems to be my favorite designer. I like every one of his collections! Congrats on 100 posts!

Congrats on making it to 100! Currently I love a lot of the moda designers. My favorite collection is Lovely, and I am 'working' on making myself a quilt from charms and jelly rolls. Not sure how long this will take, but I am really working on getting the top pieced this summer, so I can go ahead and send it off to a friend for long arming when she gets back from her trip. I really like this block, and the fabrics you used are lovely.

Personally I would love to win this and have it as a wall hanging for inspiration.

It turned out lovely! I love your quilting! Congratulations on your 100th post!

I love quilting because of the possibilities and creativity. I can make something simple or as complex as I desire. There are endless possibilities!

Beautiful! I fell in love with the Swoon pattern the second I saw it, and am in the cutting stage to make one in both Modern Meadow and also Flower Sugar fabric. The quilting on yours is gorgeous! Congrats on 100 posts!

The quilting on your mini is awesome. I love flickr. I find so much inspiration there, QALs and swaps both teach me something. I just found you and now will follow. Thanks!

I've been swooning over all the Swoon I've seen so far! This mini you've done is gorgeous! A real inspiration! I MUST, MUST, MUST SWOON!

I'm a relative beginner at quilting, though I've been studying ... reading ... planning ... dreaming quilts for years. I made a queen sized quilt as a wedding gift over 20 years ago and a few months ago, with my Mom's help, I made a second quilt. I'm SO ready to make more and find so much inspiration and encouragement from quilt bloggers, for whom I appreciate so much!

Now I must HUG the internet!

I think you probably know me pretty well. But, as I LOVE your mini quilt block and basically everything else you make I have to write you a blurb.
In my short quilting lifetime, I love to shop for and pick out the fabrics I like. I picked up a quarter yard of 2 fabrics on the clearance table at one shop just because I liked them! I figured I could use them someday :) I also love to see it come together, knowing that I have put it together and made it look just so. I love the satisfaction of seeing it finished and being proud of something I've done.
YOU are my biggest inspiration because everything you make turns out so beautiful (probably why I have purchased 2 of your items at auctions I asked you to donate to...) I am also inspired by the people I want to make quilts for, to make something special for them.
Fabrics are beautiful I just like to take them all in, no favorites... yet ;)

The Swoon Block just made me swoon! Congratulations on your 100th post - we are all richer for your contribution to the blogging world. Quilting: My favorite designers are Anna Maria Horner and Camille Roskelley (can't wait for Ruby!). As for inspiration, I haven't really gotten that far in my quilting life as I am diligently working on all the projects that I began while in the initial infatuation phase of quilting. I began too many quilt alongs and bought too many kits, so this is the summer of finishing up my in process, projects. I'm still in the "only picking out fabrics from one fabric line" phase as I feel very color challenged but I look forward to learning and becoming more comfortable with picking out fabrics.

Wow...Your 100th post. That's a major accomplishment! Love your Swoon mini. Really love the quilting you did. I've always enjoyed the creative process involved in quilting, especially the planning. Can't say I enjoy the cutting portion. After being away from quilting for a little over a year, I'm anxious to get back. I'd have to say that Moda designer Sandy Gervais is still one of my favorites.

What a gorgeous giveaway Debbie! So generous! We talk quilt stuff all the time, so let me think of something else I can share that not many people know about me....hmmmm...

I was suspended my senior year of high school for saying the dreaded "f" word, thus I didn't get to walk with my graduating class. Do I regret this, nope, not at all and if I could do it over I wouldn't change anything, except I would probably would have cursed more than just once, so I REALLY deserved the suspension. HAHA
Bet you weren't expecting that!

Oh and Anna Maria Horner is my all time favorite fabric designer!
